We've come to take our country back from the special interests that use Washington as their personal piggy bank.
The special interests that are more concerned with their personal welfare than the general welfare.
The Washington machine that gobbles up our freedoms and invades every nook and cranny of our lives ------ must be stopped!

Too often, when Republicans have won, we've squandered our victory by becoming part of the Washington machine.

Big government and debt doubled under a Republican administration and is now tripling under Barack Obama's watch.
President Obama is on course to add more debt than all the previous Presidents in history--combined.
We borrow a million dollars a minute. This vast accumulation of debt threatens not just our economy, but our security.

The message of liberty, opportunity and justice is for all Americans, whether you wear a suit, a uniform or overalls, whether you're white or black, rich or poor.

Congress will never balance the budget unless you force them to do so.
Our only recourse is to force Congress to balance the budget with a Constitutional Amendment!

I ran for office because we have too many career politicians.
We limit the President to two terms. It's about time we limit the terms of Congress!
I want to reform Washington. I want common sense rules that will break the log-jam in Congress.
That's why I introduced a Read the Bills Act.
The bills are thousands of pages long. And no one reads them. They are often plopped on our desks only a few hours before a vote.
I've proposed something truly extraordinary... Let's Read the bills, every page!

Many Americans, though, are being left behind. The reward of work seems beyond their grasp. Under the watch of both parties - the poor seem to get poorer and the rich get richer.
Trillion dollar government stimulus packages have only widened the income gap.
Politically connected cronies get taxpayer dollars by the hundreds of millions, and poor families across America continue to suffer.

Liberal policies have failed our inner cities. Our schools are not equal and the poverty gap continues to widen.
Martin Luther King spoke of two Americas. He described them as "two starkly different American experiences that exist side by side."
My trips to Detroit, Appalachia, and Chicago have revealed what I call an 'undercurrent of unease.'
I want all our children to have the same opportunities that I had. We need to stop limiting kids in poor neighborhoods to failing public schools and offer school choice, not just for the privileged, but for everyone!
It won't happen, though, unless we realize that we can't borrow our way to prosperity.

In my Vision for America, Freedom and prosperity at home can only be achieved if we defend against enemies who are dead-set on attacking America.
The enemy is Radical Islam and not only will I name the enemy, I will do what ever it takes to defend America from these haters of mankind!
We need a National Defense robust enough to defend against all attack, modern enough to deter all enemies, and nimble enough to defend our vital interests.
But we also need a foreign policy that protects American interests and encourages stability -- not chaos!
I envision an America with a National Defense unparalleled, undefeatable, and unencumbered by overseas nation building!
I envision a National Defense that promotes, as Reagan put it, 'Peace through Strength.'
I believe in applying Ronald Reagan's approach to foreign policy to the Iran issue.
Successful negotiations with untrustworthy adversaries are only achieved from a position of strength.
We brought Iran to the table from strength, through sanctions I voted for.
Now we must stay strong. That's why I co-sponsored legislation that insures that any deal between the US and Iran must be approved by Congress.
Not only is that good policy, it is the law.
I will oppose any deal that does not end Iran's nuclear ambitions and have strong verification measures. I will insist that any final version be brought before Congress.
The difference between President Obama and myself-he seems to think you can negotiate from a position of weakness.

We must realize, though, that we do not project strength by borrowing money from China to send it to Pakistan.
Let's quit building bridges in foreign countries and use that money to build some bridges here at home!
It angers me to see mobs burning our flag and chanting death to America in countries that receive millions of dollars of our foreign aid.
I say it must end. I say not one penny more to these haters of America!

Today I'm announcing I'm running for President of the United States of America because I want to defeat the Washington machine.
Our country is run by and for the special interests, and the career politicians in both parties let it happen.
We look around and see the same old, tired career politicians from yester year running. Hillary Clinton? We know how that movie ends… trillions more in debt, more taxes, and more Benghazi's. Radical Islam thrived and grew while Hillary was on the top floor of the state department. Now she wants a promotion?
The elites that run the Washington machine at our expense will throw everything against us.
That's why we need your help today, right now, to help fuel our campaign to defeat the Washington machine.
Will you contribute $25, $50, $100, $250, $1,000, or even the maximum $2,700?
No amount is too small. The biggest thing we need is you on board today.
Here's the thing: we're announcing for president today. That means the media, pundits, and the elites will immediately jump all over how well we do out of the gate. They'll want to know how many people got on board.
Today's Money Bomb might very well be the most important of the entire campaign because it will set the tone.

• Audit the Fed—we deserve to know what's happening with our money.
• Pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution—no more adding trillions in debt—time to pay it down.
• Boldly overhaul the tax code—no more loopholes for the biggest corporations with the best lobbyists—give workers a tax cut.
• Stop Common Core—school choice is the way forward.
• And on and on and on.
Basically it's the opposite of what Hillary would do. Term limits, read the bills, Audit the Fed, cut debt, overhaul the tax code, ending Common Core…
… and I'll take this message to every corner of America. I've been to Detroit. I've been to Ferguson. I've been to Berkeley. I've been to Chicago. I've been to Howard. Everywhere I go I bring the conservative message to the young, to those who are struggling, to those who the Left has failed… and they respond!
Ours is the winning message, but it is one that scares those who have profited at our expense.

Rand Paul & Ron Paul to Host Liberty Rally in Iowa City
WASHINGTON, D.C.- Rand Paul will host the 'Revolution Continues Rally' at the University of Iowa tonight. Rand Paul will be joined by special guest Ron Paul, and together they will focus on energizing the youthful base by discussing the importance of protecting the entire Bill of Rights and being boldly for conservative ideals that limit the powers of the Washington Machine.
Rand's unique message of liberty can unite Constitutional conservatives, young voters, and independent voters, which will lead to a successful showing on caucus night.

Today, Dr. Rand Paul issued the following statement on his presidential campaign:
"It's been an incredible honor to run a principled campaign for the White House. Today, I will end where I began, ready and willing to fight for the cause of Liberty.
Across the country thousands upon thousands of young people flocked to our message of limited government, privacy, criminal justice reform and a reasonable foreign policy. Brushfires of Liberty were ignited, and those will carry on, as will I.
Although, today I will suspend my campaign for President, the fight is far from over. I will continue to carry the torch for Liberty in the United States Senate and I look forward to earning the privilege to represent the people of Kentucky for another term."

It has been an honor to participate in the 2016 Republican Presidential Primary.
I am proud of our principled campaign and the thousands of young people that have been energized by our message of limited constitutional government.
Ours has been a unique voice in this race - one that says Big Government threatens Americans from all walks of life, rich and poor, black and white - from the coal miner who has lost his job over President Obama's destructive EPA regulations... to the teenager from a poor family facing jail time for marijuana.I will continue to fight for criminal justice reform, for privacy, and your 4th amendment rights. I will continue to champion due process over indefinite detention.
I will continue to be a voice against the out of control regulation, spending and debt that is crippling our country's economy and the future of our children.I will not ignore the terrible cost of decades of war and chaos in the Middle East, and the unintended consequences of regime change and nation building. I will never forget the thousands of American soldiers who have given their lives - and the thousands more who live everyday with catastrophic injuries.
These are the issues that have defined my campaign. Kelley and I are deeply grateful to our outstanding staff and tireless volunteers and supporters - people who believe in liberty. It has been a privilege to give voice to the liberty movement in this race and I believe we have broadened the debate by being part of it.
